525.03.0008 Water Pump for Volvo and Renault Trucks

What does a water pump do?

A water pump is a critical component within the engine cooling system that ensures continuous coolant circulation between the engine block and the radiator. By maintaining steady flow, this component prevents overheating and ensures the engine operates within its ideal thermal range during demanding heavy-duty tasks.

Compatible vehicles and engines

This water pump is designed for compatibility with a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles. It is fitted to Volvo engines including D11K, D13K, D13C, and D16 series across models like FM, FH, FMX, and VNL. Additionally, it serves Renault Trucks applications including K, T, C, and Magnum series featuring DXi and DTI engine codes. It also fits Mack vehicles such as Anthem and Granite equipped with MP8 or MP7 engines.

Installation and maintenance

To ensure proper performance, technicians should inspect the pump during routine cooling system maintenance. Checking for signs of coolant leaks around the seals or unusual noise from the bearing can prevent sudden engine overheating. Regular inspection of the impeller and housing ensures long-term reliability in high-heat environments.
